Families of Bluegrass tells the story of the music with performances from family bands and why many artist decided to sing and play the music of the mountains and hardships of life. It also goes into the gospel side with performances done in the traditional style. There are interviews with some of the greats like Ralph Stanley, Del McCoury and the Osborne Brothers and tells why families played a big part of how the music was formed.
